COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this course is to provide specialized clinical, operational, compliance, and billing training for therapists practicing in multiple settings. This training will focus on regulations for group and concurrent treatment, skilled therapy vs non-skilled time, compliant CPT code billing and utilization, payer guidelines, documentation requirements to establish medical necessity, and regulatory and reimbursement updates. Additional training will include methods for enhancing patient experience and increasing patient outcomes through optimal clinical treatment approaches and customer service principles.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
Upon completion of this course, attendees will understand the clinical application for group and concurrent therapy, relevant billing issues faced by therapists, and how to appropriately select and deliver modes of therapy treatment with Medicare Part A and B patients. Attendees will additionally have a better understanding of documentation and billing requirements and assessing the effectiveness of therapy approaches through the use of standardized patient experience and patient outcomes tools.
