We enjoyed our annual Chili Cookoff at the ESC today, featuring five delicious recipes of homemade chili! It's a rainy, surprisingly chilly day in Ridgeland, so a warm bowl of chili was the perfect lunch!

Taking second place was husband and wife duo, Mike and Amy Nichols! (Number 1) Great job!

Winning first place was Kayla McInnis with her family recipe (Number 4) Good work!

Honorable mention to Penny's Paleo Sweet Potato recipe, Lynn Lea's delicious recipe, and Amy Klaas' light, chickpea and chicken recipe! Special thanks to Karen Cole for bringing her wonderful homemade dip as a side, as well as Shelly's scrumptious chocolate pie. Thank you to EVERYONE who brought desserts, sides, and add-ons. Thank you, Mr. Cole, for allowing us to compete!

We are thrilled to have hosted our Annual Compliance & Ethics Training Event in person on Saturday, March 27th. Operation Excellence was a success! We appreciate all of our Mid South employees, partners, and friends, as well as our attendees from outside the company! What an honor and privilege to spend time together learning more about our industry and the changes we face. Special thanks to Julie Mitchell and Ellen Strunk for leading us on Saturday!

Thank you everyone! We look forward to planning this event again for next January!

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of a full-time physical therapist and Director of Rehab, Emily Troxler, DPT. We know that Emily is prepared to take on the physical therapy needs of her hometown community.

Emily has an impressive, well-rounded background in her field, beginning with a solid education foundation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Southern Mississippi, and she went on to graduate from UMMC’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program.

Emily worked in acute care for 8 years, and then transitioned to a role in a skilled nursing facility, where she served patients for 4 years. She is thrilled to begin her work at Walthall General Hospital, where she will be able to treat a variety of conditions and patients in multiple healthcare settings. Emily has been married to Josh Troxler for 15 years this May, and they have an 11-year-old son, Stone, and a 6-year-old daughter, Alivia.

We are so honored to announce the hire of such an accomplished, dedicated therapist to care for and grow the physical therapy services at Walthall General Hospital.
