We are thrilled to announce the hiring of our full-time Physical Therapist, Carla Calhoun, PT. She serves at Covington County Hospital.

Carla graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in pre-physical therapy from Jones County Junior College and her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Health Related Professions. She received an ACT Star student scholarship, Lady Pete, and a Whitehead Foundation Scholarship. She is a member of the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa honor society. In addition, Carla was on the Dean’s and President’s lists. As a PT, she is particularly interested in orthopedic and vestibular rehab. Carla’s maternal grandmother had Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, and she was Carla’s inspiration in high school for choosing physical therapy.

Carla and her husband live with their two fur babies. They have a wonderful son, a beautiful daughter-in-law, a 4-year-old grandson, and a 2-year-old granddaughter. When not helping patients, she and her husband ride their Harleys. They are hands-on people. They have remodeled their current home with the help of others and are glad to have moved back to their hometown and reconnected with friends from their past. Carla looks forward to serving at CCH, where she worked her first medical job years ago.

We are delighted to have Carla as a partner in our company. We look forward to her progress and know she will have opportunities to improve our company and the lives of our patients in her new role.
