We are thrilled to announce the hiring of our new, full-time Occupational Therapist, Olivia Goode, OT. She serves at UMMC Grenada.

Olivia grew up in Grenada and went to Grenada High School. She has a well-rounded educational background beginning with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Mississippi State University and her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In addition, Olivia is a member of Alpha Theta Honor Society and Pi Theta Epsilon Honor Society. Within her field of study, she is especially interested in pediatrics, women’s health, and CVA. We know that Olivia is ready to take on the occupational therapy needs of the community, and we look forward to seeing her patients’ recovery journeys.

Olivia is married to Taylor, and they have two children, Beckham, two years old, and Charlotte, four months old. Olivia chose to pursue a career in occupational therapy after realizing (when discussing career choices with her mom) how much she deeply cared for people. She later fell in love with occupational therapy. She is most passionate about pediatrics but developed an interest in pelvic floor therapy and would love to pursue further education in this field of study. Olivia’s hobbies include singing, reading books, lying on the beach, playing outside with her toddler, going to dinner with friends, doing water sports, and doing bridal/pageant makeup on the side. Olivia enjoys using her creative abilities and attributes these as one reason for her interest in Occupational Therapy. Seeing progress in work and hobbies involves using her creativity.

UMMC Grenada and Mid South Rehab value continuing education and promoting exceptional leaders. We are excited to have Olivia as a partner. We look forward to many opportunities for her to further her education and specialize in certification and training. We know she will have opportunities to improve our company, UMMC Grenada, and our patients in her new role.
