We are happy to announce the hiring of our new, full-time Occupational Therapist, Lindsey Carter, OT. She serves at Winston Medical Center.
Lindsey received her Associate of Science from East Central Community College and her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In addition, Lindsey is LSVT Big certified and selected as an ASD delegate in graduate school. Within her discipline, she is especially interested in working with patients with Parkinson’s using LSVT Big certification.
Lindsey chose to pursue occupational therapy after her uncle was in an accident while working for the railroad when a tree fell on him. She saw how the OT worked with her uncle each day and helped him begin to enjoy again the things he once was able to do. His story inspired Lindsey to help others gain independence in their everyday life.
Lindsey is married to John Mark Carter, and they have two children, Kennedy (4) and John Reece (5 months), and they have a dog named Gumbo. The family enjoys being outside, riding the golf cart around their property, fishing, and gardening during the summer.
We are excited to have Lindsey as a partner in our company. We look forward to many opportunities for her to progress in her new role. We know she will have opportunities to improve our company and the lives of patients at Winston Medical Center.
