Summer Conferences: MHA, MHCA, and INHA Recaps

Mid South was honored to attend the MHA, MHCA, and INHA summer conferences/conventions. As always, attending these fantastic events inspires and informs in our senior leadership teams. Here's a recap from each of the three events.

Mississippi Health Care Association 2026 Convention and Trade Show

June 9 - 11, 2026

The Mississippi Healthcare Association (MHCA) held its 2026 Annual Convention & Trade Show at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, drawing over 1,000 healthcare professionals from across Mississippi. The event, now a cornerstone for the state’s long-term care industry, was a hub of discussion, education, and innovation.

“This convention is a vital opportunity for us to come together as a community and shape the future of care in Mississippi,” said Dr. Elaine Foster, MHCA president, during her keynote address. “We know that our long-term care providers are the backbone of Mississippi’s healthcare system, and today, we focused on how to meet their evolving needs.”

Over the course of three days, attendees took part in nearly 30 workshops and panel discussions, covering topics such as workforce retention, regulatory changes, and innovative care models. Vendors in the bustling trade show exhibited the latest in healthcare technology, from AI-driven care coordination to personalized nutrition solutions.

A highlight of the convention was a special dinner hosted by Mid South Rehab for their valued customers. The intimate gathering provided a space for personal connections and thoughtful conversation, allowing Mid South Rehab to express their appreciation for their partners’ trust and collaboration.

The convention also spotlighted the urgent need for workforce development. “We can’t talk about innovation without talking about our people,” emphasized keynote speaker Michael Reed, a workforce policy expert. “Mississippi’s healthcare professionals are resilient, and this convention was a great reminder of what we can achieve when we invest in them.”

As the convention came to a close, many attendees left with new ideas, expanded networks, and a renewed commitment to elevating long-term care in Mississippi. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, MHCA remains at the forefront, ensuring that Mississippi’s seniors and vulnerable populations receive the care they deserve.
