We celebrated Christmas together this year at Sombra Mexican Kitchen in Madison, Mississippi, on Friday, December 13. We enjoyed their delicious salsa, guacamole, and queso while we visited. Charlean Williams, Sandra Hampton, and Yvette Mason started us off with some fun entertainment by dancing to the Cha Cha Slide. I asked a few fun questions about Christmas carol lyrics, giving out Newks gift cards as prizes! At the ESC, Newks gift cards are a hot commodity (We have a Newks across the street from the office!). We enjoyed a delicious dinner while playing Dirty Santa. It was certainly a lively game with lots of stealing - even from Mr. Cole himself! Beautiful home decor, delicious drinks, gift cards, and so much more were passed back and forth. After the game ended, we judged for "Tackiest Christmas" outfit. It was a tough competition with lots of participants, but there could only be a first and second place winner. Erica Miller was chosen as second place, wearing a Christmas dress, red and green hair bows and eye shadow, and bright red leggings. Lyn Lea won first place, decked out in a Christmas dress decorated with tinsel and bows! After all the excitement, Mr. Cole took a few minutes to thank everyone for their hard work, and he wished us all a Merry Christmas.
It was such a fun evening of laughter and fellowship. We are so thankful to celebrate with each other the blessing of our Creator, Jesus Christ.
