We are thrilled to announce the hiring of a full-time physical therapist, Elizabeth Rustom, DPT. We know that Elizabeth is prepared to help address the physical therapy needs of your facility and surrounding community, and we cannot wait to see her patients’ recovery journeys.

Elizabeth has an impressive, well-rounded background in her field, beginning with a solid education foundation. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, and she went on to obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UMMC.

Elizabeth especially enjoyed her experience working in nursing homes, and she takes special interest in geriatrics and neuro rehab. A graduate of Pillow Academy, Elizabeth is originally from the Delta, and she is thrilled to be serving patients close to home.

We are so honored to announce the hire of such an accomplished, dedicated therapist to care for and grow the speech therapy services at South Sunflower County Hospital.


 
 
 

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of our new, full-time speech therapist and Director of Rehab, Louise Hemingway, ST. Louise will be serving at Oak Grove Retirement Home in Duncan, Mississippi. Louise started her career with us part-time, and we are thrilled to offer her a full-time position working with the employee partners and patients she has already grown to love.


Louise graduated from Delta State University where she received her degree in Speech Language Pathology, and she received her Master’s degree in Speech Therapy from DSU as well.


Louise has experience in a variety of health care settings, and she takes special interest in working with patients suffering from dysphagia.


Louise is married to Jimmie L. Hemingway and a resident of Shelby, Mississippi. We are thrilled to have Louise as a full-time member of the Mid South family!

 
 
 

We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Frank Summers, rehab technician. Frank will be serving at the North Mississippi Medical Center - Hamilton Wellness Center in Hamilton, AL. Frank has worked as a rehab technician at the Hamilton Wellness Center for over two years, teaching martial arts and assisting in any role needed. We are so excited to promote Frank to the Director of the Wellness Center. We know that his experience will be a welcome asset as he leads his team, and we know that the community of Hamilton will be thrilled with this news.


Frank graduated from Bevill State Community College from the Sports Medicine program. He was awarded a scholarship there and competed as a member of the track team. He was the SGA Vice President and school ambassador.


Frank has been a martial arts instructor for over 12 years, and he has additional work experience with the Sports Medicine Department of NMMC, working football games for Marion County. Frank attained his Personal Training Certification through Wallace State as well.


Frank’s love for all things sports and wellness trickles into his personal life. He has coached baseball, football, and basketball every year for his sons. We are thrilled to have Frank in a leadership role at the Wellness Center, and we celebrate his achievements in helping Hamilton live well.
