Yalobusha General Hospital welcomes Maya McNamee

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of our new, full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant, Maya McNamee, OTA. She will serve at Yalobusha General Hospital.

Maya grew up in Calhoun City, MS, and graduated from Calhoun City High School. She received her Associate of Applied Science from Itawamba Community College. We know she is ready to take on the occupational therapy needs of the community, and we look forward to seeing her patients’ recovery journeys.

Maya chose to pursue a career in occupational therapy because she loves helping others and wanted to use her skills to help get them back to engaging in the things they love the most. When she is not helping patients, Maya enjoys shopping, spending time with family, friends, and her sweet puppy Blaze, and going on adventures.

Yalobusha General Hospital and Mid South Rehab value continuing education and promoting exceptional leaders. We are excited to have Maya as a partner. We look forward to many opportunities for her to further her education and specialize in certification and training.

Mid South welcomes Tiffany Hobbs, OTA

We are excited to announce that Tiffany Hobbs has joined the Mid South Compliance Team as the new Compliance Assistant. Tiffany grew up in Vaiden, MS but currently lives in Pearl, MS. She loves spending her free time with family, friends, and her boyfriend. She loves to try new restaurants, read books, and give back. She has volunteered at Gateway Mission where she served food to the homeless, donated essential items to various nursing homes, and served as a mentor to young girls ages 8-17. Tiffany assists with ensuring the girls know how to conduct themselves as young ladies and learn life skills to become productive women in society. She believes that she is put on this Earth to make people's lives better and serve as a “go-to person” for those around her.

Tiffany started her academic career at the University of MS where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in sociology. Once she graduated, she was accepted into the Holmes Community College’s occupational therapy assistant program. She then graduated and became a licensed occupational therapy assistant and worked in SNF for 5 years. Tiffany was best known for her outgoing personality, her ability to make patients smile, being a team player. Tiffany recently received her master’s degree in public health from the University of Southern MS. Tiffany plans to use this degree and gain more insight into the behind-the-scenes tasks that take place in the therapy world. She plans to continue to be a hard worker, learn everything that she can, and excel at her new position. She is a member of Winona Baptist Church but attends Anderson United Methodist Church where she loves to hear sermons given by Rev. Dr. Stephen Tyrone Cook, who is one of her uncles. Tiffany is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc and continues to volunteer at events that her chapter hosts.

One thing that Tiffany’s parents instilled in her is that you cannot be your best if you do not give your

best. She uses that lesson each day and strives to be the best version of herself as she adapts to changes in life.
