I am thrilled and honored to announce that Natasha Hamlin will join our Mid South family as my Executive Assistant, effective December 23. She will be an exciting addition to our team!

Natasha comes to us with an impressive professional background. She has dedicated nearly eight years to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), where she has excelled in various roles. For the past six years, she has served as an Administrative Assistant, and for the last two years, she has been the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice Dean of Medical Education at the School of Medicine. Before her current position, Natasha supported a range of executives, including the CEO, COO, CFO, and the Director of Ambulatory Operations. Her extensive experience in the healthcare sector began as a Medical Office Assistant, showcasing her commitment and rapid growth within this field.

I would describe Natasha as an individual with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, a cheerful disposition, and a strong work ethic. She is extremely organized and detail-oriented, consistently demonstrating a positive can-do attitude. I am confident that her vast experience, combined with her desire for professional growth and pursuit of excellence, will greatly benefit our team at the Employee Support Center, as well as our Strategic and Employee Partners.

Natasha was born and raised in Canton, MS. She and her husband, Derrick (affectionately known as Bo), are proud parents of two sets of fraternal twins: two boys who are 14 and in their first year of high school and two girls who are 10 and completing their last year of elementary school. She describes her boys as academic and calm, while her girls are sporty and enjoy cheerleading—bringing lively energy to their household. The family has a cocker spaniel named Jersey. Natasha is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration through online classes at the University of Southern Mississippi, with plans to graduate in December 2025. Following her graduation, she intends to further her education by obtaining her Master’s in Business Administration.

In her own words, Natasha considers herself friendly, adaptable, hard-working, punctual, and positive. While she has a strong work ethic, she also cherishes her downtime, enjoying reading and listening to music to relax.

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Natasha as she embarks on this new chapter with us. I am confident that she will be a tremendous asset to our Mid South family.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

In Christ’s love,

Steven L. Cole
